DAY 48, Hebrews 4-6

Good Morning!  My name is Jenny Cervik and I was asked to give you a devotional thought from the book of Hebrews, chapters 4-6.

KEY VERSE:  Hebrews 4:16  Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in the time of need.

REFLECTIONS:  This whole passage spoke in many different ways to me, but this verse more so in the fact that the Lord has been bringing my prayer life to my attention.  For the past year or so I have been trying to do exactly as this verse says, going BOLDLY to the Lord.  To me, going boldly to the Lord is like placing it ALL in His hands.  So many times we pray for things asking for His guidance, for the Lord to work it all out and intervene.  BUT, we hold on to a little part of the problem we are asking for help with.  We don't completely hand it to Him.  We hold on to it and worry, fret or become anxious about it.  We haven't given it completely to the Lord.  We haven't boldly said, "Here Lord, I'm giving this to you".  When the prayer is answered, the outcome still may not be as you thought but it is all part of God's perfect plan.  The Lord is your friend and comforter giving you grace and mercy in the time of need.  He is your support in the time of need.  The more you pray, the stronger your relationship with Him will be.

APPLICATION:  Prayer is so very powerful.  The more we pray, the less we sway...from HIM.  I know it's a corny saying; but if you think about it, it is true!

Thank you for being a part of the 100-Day Challenge.  Thanks for reading, and you have a blessed day!

In Christ,
