DAY 10, Acts 7-9

Good Morning.  My name is Dan Koepke and I was asked to give you a devotional thought from the book of Acts, chapters 7-9.

KEY VERSES:

Acts 9:13, 14
13 Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem: 14 And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name.

REFLECTIONS:

As I reflected on this passage I thought of my children. So many times I ask (tell, order, etc.) them to do something and it is followed by "But Dad.........". It seems our natural instincts are to make excuses as to why we don't want to do something, especially when it is not our plan.

Here we have the Lord speaking directly to Ananias asking him to be a part of the transformation of Saul to Paul, one of the greatest transformations in history. God has chosen Ananias to "kick off" the ministry of Paul, who becomes one of the greatest examples of Christianity recorded in the Bible. And what is Ananias' response? But God......do you know who this is? Of course God knows who he is and what he has done, but also knows what he is going to accomplish with Paul. Ananias eventually does as the Lord requests and witnesses the amazing transformation.

APPLICATION:

Pray that you will be able to perform God's request when He asks, without question or doubt. Just as Ananias, we may be part of something amazing that only God can do.

Thank you for being a part of the 40 Day Challenge. Thanks for reading, and you have a blessed day!
