DAY 18, ROMANS 3-5

Good Morning! My name is Julie Clark and I was asked to give you a devotional thought from Romans 3-5.

KEY VERSES:

Romans 5:3-4 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

REFLECTIONS:

As I read through this last chapter for today, I was immediately stopped by the thought – Rejoice in suffering? Why would one rejoice while going through trouble? How could anyone rejoice while in the middle of a tribulation? But as I read on in the verse, our rejoicing is because of the greater end that God is working within us.  God knows what we need.  He is not wasting our time.  He has not abandoned us.  He is using what is happening now to produce what we need in our life for tomorrow – patience, experience, hope.

APPLICATION:

Remember, we have a hope – a certainty in the future. God will carry you through.

Thank you for being a part of the 40-Day Challenge. Thanks for reading, and you have a blessed day!

In Christ, Julie Clark
