Good Morning! My name is Nikki Butcher and I was asked to give you a devotional thought from the book of Acts chapters 10-12.
KEY VERSES:
Acts 10:34 Then Peter opened his mouth and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons.
Acts 10:45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Acts 11:18 When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.
Acts 10:43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.
REFLECTIONS: As I reflected on these verses I got so EXCITED! Just to see it written down on the pages… that Jesus died not only for the Jews, but for the Gentiles also! While we as Christians obviously already know this, I think we sometimes take salvation for granted. Peter, up until now, just thought salvation was to be for the Jews only. God has just revealed to him that salvation is for EVERYONE!!! Praise the Lord! I love to be reminded what Jesus did for me at the cross. I don’t care who you are, what you have done, where you have been, or where you think you’re headed…. Jesus died for you!! He wants to be Savior over your life. I love Acts 10:43 “…that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.” He wants to forgive you today! He loves you! He died for you! What an Awesome God we serve!!! Thank you, God, for offering salvation to not only the Jews, but to the Gentiles also!
APPLICATION: Let’s not take our salvation for granted. Stay reminded of the cross. And let’s tell EVERYONE about Jesus!
